How to request deletion
- Send us an email at biashnetltd@gmail.com from the email address you use to sign in to Biashnet, with the subject
Delete my Biashnet account. - Include the phone number on your account, so we can confirm the request really comes from you.
- We confirm by email and delete your account within 30 days of your request. We'll email you when it's done.
You don't need to have the app installed to request deletion.
What we delete
- Your profile: name, email address, phone number and profile photo
- Your sign-in account
- Delivery addresses and delivery notes
- Chat messages
- Cart, followed sellers and shopping activity
- Seller shop details, product listings and photos
- Notifications and device push tokens
What we keep, and for how long
- Records of completed payments, refunds and seller withdrawals, such as amounts, dates, M-PESA receipt numbers and the order they belong to
Kenyan law requires us to keep these financial records. We keep them for 5 years from the end of the year the transaction took place, as required under Kenya's Tax Procedures Act, and then delete them.
They are separated from your deleted account and used only to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations or to resolve disputes.
Deleting some data without closing your account
You can also ask us to delete specific data, such as old delivery addresses, chat messages or your shopping activity, while keeping your account. Email biashnetltd@gmail.com and tell us what you'd like removed.
